Chuc Mang Nam Moi (Happy Chinese New Year)

Happy Chinese New Year!

It has finally snowed here in Mammoth Lakes after TWO months of no precipitation.  It has been the driest winter on record since the 1800-somethings when they started recording things like that.  What a good start to the year of the Dragon!  Here are some pictures from this morning.

Despite the look on his face, George is actually happy.

  1. Happy Chinese New Year, Amy! We ended up leaving Tahoe a day early during a storm "lull" to avoid putting chains on our tires, so we ended up taking the 5 back home instead of the 395. We wanna come back and actually ski or snowboard next time, maybe you can give us a lesson since Eric and I have both only been once. Have you been skiing yet?

PS- It is now 80 degrees in Orange County. Happy first snow.
